Re:Writ (rewrit.io) is a songwriting workspace run by Veridem Holdings Inc. It tracks, line by line, which words you wrote yourself (Human), which you changed from an AI suggestion (Modified), and which came from AI (AI). It can turn that record into a Fingerprint certificate and register it in the Veridem Authorship Registry. By using Re:Writ you agree to these terms.

Re:Writ is intended for people 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may use Re:Writ only through an account opened and controlled by a parent or legal guardian, with their consent and supervision. A parent or guardian who opens an account for a minor is responsible for everything entered or finalized under that account, and agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf. This matters because Fingerprint certificates are permanent public records — see Fingerprints, signing and co-authors below — and a finalized certificate cannot be withdrawn. Re:Writ is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account or finalized a certificate, contact us at hello@getveridem.com and we will work with you to correct or address it. You must also be able to form a binding legal agreement and not be barred from using our services under applicable law.

You can use Re:Writ as a guest or with an account. Guest songs live only in your browser; we cannot recover them. AI features, uploads, cloud saving, signing and certificates need an account. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Re:Writ has a free plan and a Pro plan billed monthly through Stripe (current price on the Pricing page). Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing portal in the app; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. The Writer's Boost Pack is a one-time purchase of extra Co-Writer and transcription credits. Credits are used only after your daily plan limit runs out. If a refund is issued, the matching Pro access or unused Boost credits are removed. Refund requests: hello@getveridem.com. Daily AI limits can change; if an AI request fails, we try to give that use back.

You own what you write. We do not claim ownership of your lyrics, recordings or other work. You give us only the permission needed to store, display, process and back up your content to run Re:Writ, and, when you choose to register a certificate, to send the listed details to the Registry. We do not use your songs to train AI models.

AI suggestions may be unoriginal, inaccurate, or similar to existing work. You decide what to keep and you are responsible for checking it. Material generated by AI may not be protected by copyright. Re:Writ labels AI and Modified lines so you can be honest about them; please do not tag AI text as Human.

Fingerprints, scores, certificates and Registry records are an evidence layer that records your own creative decisions, based on what you tag and attest. They are self-attested, not a verified legal finding. They are not legal advice and not a substitute for registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office. We do not promise any certificate will be accepted by the Copyright Office, a PRO, a label or anyone else. Knowingly giving false information in a copyright application can carry penalties (17 U.S.C. §506(e)). For legal questions, speak with a qualified attorney.

Only enter a co-author's details with their permission. A co-author's name, role and split appear in the public Registry only if they sign and consent themselves. Registered records are permanent. We are not responsible for disagreements between co-authors about credit or splits, though you can ask us to review a disputed record.

Please do not: • upload work you have no right to use, or break the law or anyone's rights; • forge, alter or misrepresent a certificate, ID, token or QR code; • try to get around plan limits, or into accounts or data that are not yours; • scrape, overload or disrupt Re:Writ or the Registry. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Re:Writ relies on outside services, including Stripe, AI providers, Google and Apple sign-in, and our hosting provider. Their own terms apply to them. See our Privacy Policy for the list.

Re:Writ is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep your own copies of important work; guest songs especially can be lost.

To the extent the law allows, Veridem Holdings Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made in reliance on a Fingerprint or certificate. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with the date it last changed.
