How Re:Writ works.

Seven tools, one workflow: write or import, tag every line, document your process, score your authorship, and back the whole record up in the Locker.

Create a song

Open the Locker, click New Song, and choose whether your first draft is human-typed or imported from AI. Re:Writ tracks that origin from the start.

Open the Locker
Tag every line

Inside a song, switch to Tag mode and mark each line H (human), M (modified), or A (AI). Tags drive the score and the affidavit.

Use the Co-Writer

The Scratch Draft / Note Draft / Fair Copy sandbox keeps reference lyrics on the left and your final draft on the right. The Co-Writer suggests lines — you decide what stays.

Warm up with Sketchpad

Pick a mood, get a fresh starting sentence (or write your own), then write freely — no AI involved anywhere in this tool, so everything you write here counts as fully human. Two scrolling wheels give you sentence starters like 'I won't' or 'You said' to get a line moving; the Word Bank next to your lines gives you adjectives, verbs, and nouns to pull from, with a refresh button per category if you need more options. Closed in the middle of a session? Reopen Sketchpad and it'll offer to pick up right where you left off. Free accounts get one save per week — writing and exploring stays unlimited either way, only the final save to your Locker is capped. When you're ready, hit 'I think I'm finished' to move your writing into the real Editor, already tagged as yours.

Build a Mood Pad

Pick a mood, get a palette, choose a collage layout, then fill the board with photos, lyrics, stickers, and short voice pins. Double-click anything on the board — a sticker, a photo, a lyric — to open its controls (resize, recolor, rotate, delete). Click the empty background to close it again. Use arrow keys to nudge a selected item, [ and ] to rotate it, + and − to resize it, and Delete to remove it. Add up to 3 voice pins per board on the free plan. When you're happy, hit Share to post it straight to Instagram or download it — it always carries a small “Made in Re:Writ” mark so people know where it came from.

Dictate with the mic

The Notepad and Fair Copy columns each have a microphone. Tap it to add lines by speech — every dictated line is tagged H by default.

Score & affidavit

The MHAIX score grades your authorship across nine dimensions. Export the final draft as plain text or save the full ownership record to the Locker.

The Locker

On the free tier, the Locker IS the save system. Export to .json regularly — no export means no save. Re-import on any device to restore.
