The US Copyright Office (January 2025 ruling) requires proof of human creative control — not just the use of AI tools. Re:Writ is the only workspace built to generate that proof.

Think of it like a surgical documentation system. Every lyric line is tagged, every decision is logged, and the record is exportable as legal evidence.

• H — you wrote the line entirely.
• M — AI drafted, you made substantive edits.
• A — AI wrote it, you accepted as-is.
• — — untagged, not yet reviewed.

Lines are weighted by section: Chorus (×3) and Hook (×2.5) count most. Missing sections (no bridge, no intro) redistribute their weight — short songs aren't penalized.

When you're signed out, every song stays on your device only — nothing is sent anywhere until you export it yourself. When you sign in, your songs sync automatically to your secure cloud account so you can pick up on another device. Either way, the Locker JSON export is always available as your own portable backup.
